22nd International Symposium on Solubility Phenomena and Related Equilibrium Processes (ISSP 2026)

The symposium is part of a long-standing series of international events devoted to the critical evaluation and understanding of solubility phenomena and related equilibrium processes.

The ISSP international forum has been held every two years since 1984 under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, and specifically its Subcommittee on Solubility and Equilibrium Data. The symposium provides an international forum for exchanging scientific knowledge covering the theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of solubility, together with applications in industry, environmental systems and sustainability.

ISSP 2026 focuses on fundamental principles, methodological developments and applied research, with an emphasis on current scientific and technological challenges. The programme aims to encourage interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration between researchers working at the molecular level and those working on macroscopic and applied systems.

About the symposium host

The Geo Milev campus is the largest of the Centre’s three campuses — 27 of its 40 laboratories are located there, within the scientific complex of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on Acad. Georgi Bonchev Street. A description of the campus is available on the Geo Milev Campus page, and the full list of equipment is published on Infrastructure and Laboratories.

The Centre also brings together 18 organisations — institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and five universities, among them the Technical University of Sofia. For participation in scientific events and for laboratory service requests, please write to us via Contacts.

Project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0006 is funded under the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
