A new demonstration center for engagement with idustry, established by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), was inaugurated on October 27, 2026, in the renovated Block 29A at Geo Milev campus. The building’s renovation was carried out under the investment project “Enhancing the Innovation Capacity of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the Field of Green and Digital Technologies,” part of Component 2 (“Research and Innovation”) of the National Recovery Plan.

The demonstration center is a twin building to Block 29—where National Center of Excellence in Mechatronics and Clean Technologies is situated —also located on the Geo Milev campus. The two buildings complement each other, forming an integrated complex that encompasses both scientific and administrative infrastructure.

At the opening ceremony, Corresponding Member Slavcheva, President of the BAS, expressed the expectation that the new demonstration center would become a hub for active engagement with business representatives, facilitating the transformation of scientific findings into innovations and, ultimately, into commercial products.
