Results

The National Centre of Excellence Mechatronics and Clean Technologies is being built under project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0006, funded by the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027 and co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.

Research infrastructure

Forty laboratories have been built and equipped: 27 at the Geo Milev campus, within the research complex of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and 13 at the Lozenets campus on Zlatovrah Street. The Centre also works at the Studentski Grad campus, at the Technical University of Sofia. Every laboratory has its own page describing the equipment, the analyses performed and the applicable standards — see Infrastructure and Laboratories.

Consortium

Eighteen organisations take part: twelve institutes and units of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and five universities — Sofia University, the Technical University of Sofia, the Technical University of Varna, the Technical University of Gabrovo and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy.

Publications and events

Research findings are published in peer-reviewed journals acknowledging the project. Conferences, working meetings and visits to the Centre are reported under News.

Detailed scientific results for the individual work packages are yet to be published.
