The laboratory has a reliable and affordable optical system for monitoring and research of resonant surface waves in microdroplets and excitation of resonant oscillations in microdroplets with electric field.
ACTIVITIES
In the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Electrolyte and Resonant Tensiometry, the newly purchased DSA30S tensiometer is used as a reference device in prototyping and conducting electroacoustic research and resonance tensiometry. Equipped with a high-speed video camera, the DSA30S also provides opportunities to study low-frequency resonant oscillations of liquid droplets in the range of the main resonant mode (80-160 Hz).
SERVICES
- Analysis of the profile of liquid drops
- Accurate surface tension measurement
- Examination of liquid droplets in a controlled liquid or gaseous medium at temperatures from -10 to 130 ° C
EQUIPMENT
The tensiometer – DROP SHAPE ANALYZER – DSA30S is a profile tensiometer – a device for analyzing the profile of liquid drops. Allows precise measurement of the surface tension of suspended or sitting liquid droplets by the method of contour analysis. It can be used to study the contact angle and surface tension of liquid droplets supported by a hard surface, as well as the corresponding free surface energy.
The tensiometer is equipped with a special optical cuvette and a circulating thermostat, which allow the study of liquid drops in a controlled liquid or gaseous medium at temperatures from -10 to 130 °C. The device has a computer-controlled dosing system that provides precise control of the volume of the tested drops. The ADVANCE software allows conducting multiple automated surveys on pre-set templates.
